March Message

Welcome to the Rocky Mountain Web Stitchers website! Please browse around the website and consider joining us. While we are a member of the Rocky Mountain Region, chapter members do not have to live within that area to be a member of this chapter. We are open 23/7,– as “they” say. If you have questions please contact us!

March is a month that we begin to long for the nice spring weather, however one day it may be winter and another day the hint of spring is there. It’s during this time that you have to debate with yourself about how to spend your free time. Do I stitch or do I clean up the yard????? We know the yard work is hard on our hands for handling those wonderful threads. What a dilemma to get all the “wants and needs” satisfied. Stitching of course is our first love and there must be time for that!

January Message

Welcome to our website. Browsing on the web is a good thing to do this time of year. Most of us in the RMR are trying to stay warm and cozy and what better way to do that is to find a new stitching site?
We are a relatively new chapter with a site that is expanding with new ideas and information, so you have to keep checking on us. Leave us a message for us, if you like or join too.

Next month, February, is National Embroidery Month, a time to think about how much embroidery means in our lives. It is a creative art that has been enjoyed by many from the beginning of time and part of our mission is to keep the old styles and forms of the art alive an available to all interested persons. ( I know this is January, but you need time to plan.) One way to share our enthusiasm for the art is to stitch in public places to give people a chance to observe and to question about it. So that being said, it is a custom for EGA members to Stitch in Public during the month of February. Stitch in the library, in the coffee shop, in the deli at the grocery store, at the book store, etc. Ask your stitching friends, members or not, to go with you to work on your current project. Let me know if you take part in this celebration of EMBROIDERY MONTH.

November Message

November is the month of the year that we stop and think about all the things, people and opportunities that we have and how thankful we are for having them.  EGA and the opportunity of always having something new to learn is one part of my life for which I am thankful .  It is sometimes exciting, – like seminars-  it can be calming when worry is about us.  It gives us happiness when our project is complete and others appreciate it.

Please look over our website and consider being a member.

Have a safe and  joyful  Thanksgiving  season.
