Complete a chapter, region or national project and submit a picture. A drawing will be held for each completed photo that is received by June 1, 2019. Two winners will be selected for a $25 certificate good towards membership.
Rosemary Denton completed Step 4 of the Master Craftsman program for Canvas. The challenge was to use color to create the illusion of three-dimensional space.
Rosalee Veresa Zipp completed her 2017 National Seminar project, “Loon Tunes” taught by Ann Strite Kurz.
“I stitched this loon because my husband and I honeymooned up north Minnesota in 1989. We stayed at a cabin by a lake and every night while we sat on the end of the dock, a lone Loon would swim back and forth calling out. It was so wonderful.
Also, this piece used variations of white Hungarian stitches for the neck stripes and back feathers. My father grew up in Hungary.
